One of the most popular sports sites in Kazakhstan recently completed the counting of votes in the contest "The most sexy athlete of Kazakhstan." As the objects for evaluation and voting, 12 athletes of our country were chosen, among them the Kazakhstan record holder in the throwing of the javeline Varvara Nazarova from Ust-Kamenogorsk. As a result of the competition, our prima athletics became the ninth and, judging by the small number of votes cast for her - 41 - she did not try too hard to attract attention.

Our correspondent decided to find out how the athlete herself refers to this kind of competition, and contacted Varvara.

• I can not say that such competitions are very necessary for our sport, - answers Nazarov's question about the need for such projects. - It would be much more pleasant to participate in the competition, if it was held under a slightly different name. Say, "The most beautiful athlete of Kazakhstan."

• Was it important for you to win this contest?

• Once again I repeat, it's more pleasant to win in the competition with a different name. And so, by and large I was not interested in the state of affairs. Honestly, I did not even think that it could cause such an agiotage, and that this number of people would be interesting.

• How did you get to the number of these 12 contestants?

• I got a call from the editorial office, offered to participate, I answered Vatsapu for a couple of questions, that's all. But some new experience of this extracted. It's nice, of course, that I was noticed.

Now Varvara Nazarova, who specializes in throwing a spear, is preparing for the first start of the season, which for her will take place in March. While she does not have a firm belief that she will take part in the winter season, which will be completely held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, however she is currently training the shot put, so to exclude her appearance in the Track and Field Athletics Center.
