Elina Mikhina in the Kazakhstan national team in track and field athletics at the final stage of preparation for the Asian Indoor Championships

The Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan has selected 30 athletes to participate in January in the training camp, which will last from January 8 to 21 in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

In addition to candidates for participation in the Asian Indoor Championships, a group of young athletes is invited to the gathering, whose task is to successfully perform at the Asian and World Championships, or at the Youth Olympic Games. This is the runner David Efremov, pole vaults Mikhail Buda, Stanislav Soloviev, Anastasia Ermakova, Yana Toybaeva, Polina Ivanova.

As for running at 60 and 400 meters, as well as relay 4-400 meters, the final composition for the Asian Championship in Tehran in these types will be determined based on the performance at three competitions in January - the first stage of the Kazakhstan Cup (January 10-11), the national championship (15-17 January) and international competitions for the prizes of Olympic champion Olga Rypakova (January 20).

Among those who are preparing for the Asian Winter Championship (February 1-3, Tehran) - 5 medalists of the Asian Games in closed premises, held in September 2017 in Ashgabat. They are owners of gold medals Victoria Zyabkina (60 meters), Elina Mikhina (400 meters), Ivanov Ivan (shot put), silver medalist Maria Ovchinnikova (triple jump) and bronze medalist Mikhail Litvin (400 meters).
