Completion of the Altay Athletics Seminar

Within the framework of cooperation between the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Altay Athletics Club and the Weltclasse Zürich, on 10th and 11th of April 2018 in Oskemen was held a seminar on track and field athletics with invited speaker Andreas Hediger, who is the Director of Weltklasse Zürich and the Diamond League Final, Member of the Board of Directors and Head of the most massive project in Europe in the infant sports UBS Kids Cup.

It is worth noting that Mr. Hediger does not practice performing Seminars. It was first experience for him. He was prompted to hold a Seminar by the initiative of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan President Danial Akhmetov. It was particularly his initiative to invite this functionary, who plays a rather significant role in the world of track and field athletics.

.

Андреас Хедигер, Директор Weltklasse Zurich

The main goal of the seminar was to share the experience of organizing and holding a successful mass infant sports competition with Kazakhstani athletics coaches and physical education teachers.

By the way, the UBS Kids Cup involved more than 160 000 children throughout Switzerland for less than in five years. Moreover, the number of professional athletes in the country has been grown, this information could be seen by participant on the detailed diagrams. Accordingly, the number of medals, as well as participants in the World Championships and the Olympics, has significantly increased.

This infant competition has been going on for 9 years and covers all of the Switzerland.

At the same time, in addition to the main topic of the seminar, participants were able to get acquainted with additional material that would certainly be useful in the professional activities of everyone.

So, Andreas Hediger introduced two lectures on the such topics as "World sports systems in track and field" and "Creating sustainable development in athletics".

Also, one joint workshop was held with participants of the seminar.

The event ended with the delivery of Certificates of Participation to attendees of 112 people.

In conclusion we would like to say that to accept a figure of this scale in athletics was a certain honor for the Club. For the first time one of the leaders of the most important league in our sport visited Kazakhstan and in particular, Oskemen.
