On December 7th, 2017, an extraordinary conference of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan was held and summed up the results of 2017 with the participation of the President of the Federation Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and the Minister of Culture and Sports of Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.

Also at the presidium there were the Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Daniyal Kenzhetayevich Akhmetov, the first vice-president of the Federation Eldar Rashidovich Tabanov and the general secretary of the Federation Lashin Erkarayevich Aimagambetov.

To participate in it, leaders of regional federations and major cities of the country of Astana and Almaty were invited. Note that akim of the East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, recently elected head of the regional federation of track and field athletics, and Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly took part in the conference. The head of the athletics federation of the country, head of the presidential administration of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov conducted the conference.

At the conference, issues of internal activity were discussed and reports of the head coach of the Kazakhstan national team on track and field athletics Grigory Egorov and first vice-president Eldar Tabanov on the results of the work done for 2017 were heard.

The second part of the event was a solemn reception, where the honors of medal winners of the Asian Games were held in the premises in Ashgabat. The strongest Kazakhstan athlete Olga Rypakova has achieved the greatest success in Ashgabat. A representative of Eastern Kazakhstan excelled in two types of competition program - long jump and triple jump. In the shot put the peers on the Asian Games did not have Ivan Ivanov from the Almaty region. Three more gold medals - on the account of Sergei Grigoriev (pole vault, Almaty), Victoria Zyabkina (60 meters, Almaty) and Elina Mikhina (400 meters, East Kazakhstan).

Silver medal in the Asian Games was awarded to Maria Ovchinnikova (triple jump, Karaganda region), bronze medals - Anastasia Vinogradova (60 meters with barriers, Almaty), Mikhail Litvin (400 meters, North Kazakhstan) and Olga Safronova (60 meters, Pavlodar region).

9 of Kazakhstan's 10 medalists took part in the solemn ceremony in Astana, there was not only the pusher of the core of Ivan Ivanov, who is currently in Portugal.

The medalist of the Asian Games was awarded by the head of the athletics federation, the head of the presidential administration of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and the minister of culture and sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.

Also, they were awarded in the nominations "The Best Sportsman of 2017" - Olga Rypakova, "The Best Project of 2017" - the first professional athletic club "Altay Athletics" and the "Best Regional Federation of 2017" in the country - the federation of the Karaganda region.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee were awarded holiday medals to Olga Shishigina, Dmitry Karpov and Olga Rypakova.
