On February 2nd in Tehran, at the 8th Indoor Asian Athletics Championships , Elina Mikhina within the national team of Kazakhstan, in the final race for 400 meters, won a silver medal, showing the result of 53.49.

Golden award was taken by Svetlana Golendova, whose result was 53.28 seconds, who is part of the national team of Kazakhstan as well.
