Runner from Kenya, African champion Norah Jeruto will represent the club from Kazakhstan at international competitions.
The winner of the stages of the Diamond League in the run for 3000 meters steeplechase Norah Jeruto joined the professional track and field athletics club Altay Athletics. About her first impressions, the athlete told the portal of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan.
"It's a great honor for me to be part of such an ambitious project as Altay Athletics," Nora Jiruto said. - "For me, this is a big step and I am sure that I will develop here as an athlete. We will train and prepare to show high results and benefit the club."
According to Jeruto, after receiving invitation to the club, the sportswoman agreed without much hesitation:
I really enjoyed it in Kazakhstan, and I will do my best to make our project successful.
Note that the club included three more Kenyan runners, Olympic champion Olga Rypakova, young Kazakhstan athletes Varvara Nazarova and Arthur Gafner. The general manager of the club was the Swiss Guido Tognoni.
