Immediately after the end of the final stage of the Diamond League, Club athletes took part in the final stages of the IAAF Series: Berlin and Zagreb, where in both starts they took 2nd places.

Stopping on the result of the track season, it is worth to note that it passed successfully for us, so, Norah Jeruto took the final 2nd place in the Diamond League, becoming the 4th girl in the history of the women's 3000 m steeplechase running out of 9 minutes. We did not even believe it at once!

Daisy Jepkemei for the first time qualified to the League Finals, where 12 of the strongest athletes in the world follow 12 rounds, and took 10th place there.

Caroline Kipkirui became the 4th in the League’s final protocol, and already on September 8th she took part in the 10k Grand Prix Prague, which confidently won becoming the world leader of the Season at a distance of 10 k to the IAAF Road Races. Time 30:19! Awesome!

Olga Rypakova and Victoria Zyabkina, returning from the Asian Games, defended the honor of the Asia-Pacific Continent at the World Cup in Ostrava, Czech Republic, which takes place every 4 years.

Congratulations to Olga with a successful performance in favor of the whole continent! A brilliant result and the end of the next successful Season!

I want to note that, during the season, the Club’s management did a great work and, of course, of its coaching staff too, the goals set for the Season were achieved!

But, we do not stop, and after a short break (athletes have been keeping themselves in good shape since January), our athletes will take part in the competitions of the IAAF Cross Country series and the IAAF Road Races.

Almost all September, all members of the Club spent in the native city of Oskemen, where, together with the coaching staff and management, they planned the new season and checked the performance of the last track declared by the coaches.

Meanwhile, Gulzhanat Zhanatbek, Club’s marathon runner, went on a long lasting training camp to Kenya for high-quality preparation for the new competitions.

She will be training under the guidance of coach Kenneth Rotich in the group with Kenyan marathon runners on the high-mountain base already more or less familiar to her.

We are ready to give her a chance and considerable time, which is necessary for marathon runners to reach a new level.

At the end of September, after the summer testing, the long-awaited Altay Kids Cup started!

The Cup is divided into three Stages for a more complete girth of the entire East Kazakhstan region.

The first stage was attended by 20,000 children from 671 schools in the region!

The second stage left 4000 best children in competitions and is currently taking place in 19 geographic points of the region.

The final will be held in the city of Oskemen on November 4-5, in which 352 best young athletes will take part.

On behalf of the Club, I want to thank the Physical culture and Sports Administration of the East Kazakhstan region for the comprehensive support they organized for the Cup, and especially to teachers and coaches in the regions of the region for their work and enthusiasm!

Also this month, during the next meeting of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation’s Executive Committee in Astana, a new Secretary General of the Federation was elected. It is a great honor for me to be the Secretary General of the Federation and the head of the Altay Athletics Club.

I want to assure the President of the Federation Danial Kenzhetayevich Akhmetov and all the track and field athletics activists of the Republic that I will spare no effort to further the growth of our sport!

Thank you for attention!
